Gravesend Station

15 Day Full Blockade Supported by 4D Programme Analysis

Winner – Synchro Software Visual Planning Awards, Project of the Year 2014

The station is situated on a major London commuter station and is now seen as a major interchange for metro and high speed services. It was remodelled to allow 12-car trains to stop providing up to 3,500 extra seats and more space for passengers.

Oakwood were employed by Network Rail to create a 4D information model to support programme analysis using existing 2D information. This required detailed laser scan surveys to capture the existing station and a lidar model of the immediate vicinity.
